Milyaev told how in the Tula region care for parents of children with disabilities
More than 1,400 parents of disabled children underwent medical examinations as part of a special project to support their health

In the Tula region, more than 1,400 parents of disabled children underwent medical examinations as part of a special project to support their health. About the first results of the program told the Governor Dmitry Milyaev.
The project started in July. Its main task is to help mothers and fathers raising children with disabilities, pay more attention to their own well-being.
For each parent, an individual treatment route is formed. Receptions with doctors are organized at a convenient time, and specialists of the regional Ministry of Health contact patients in advance and remind them of the upcoming visit.
Additional assistance is provided for families from the districts. If the consultation is scheduled in Tula, the municipality organizes free delivery of parents to the place of reception.
In the first three months of the program, more than 1,400 people were surveyed. Another 550 parents are preparing to visit doctors. At the same time, more than 40% of this group did not apply to the clinic for a long time.
As Dmitry Milyaev noted, taking care of the health of parents is especially important for families in which disabled children grow up. The opportunity to undergo examination and get the necessary medical care allows moms and dads to pay attention to their own condition and save strength to care for children.
Earlier, "MK in Tula" wrote that in the Tula region will buy three new cars for the disabled. According to the technical specification, purchased cars must meet strict requirements.
