Minchanka celebrated its 100th anniversary – it was congratulated by the head of the district administration

The head of the administration of the Factory district of the Belarusian capital Vladimir Shibeko on October 12 congratulated on the 100th anniversary of the veteran of labor Lyubov Shkarubskaya, reports “Minsk-Novosti”.

Lyubov Shkarubskaya was born on October 12, 1926 in Dnepropetrovsk. In 1947, she entered the Molodechno State Teachers Institute, an educational institution that in those years trained pedagogical personnel for the western regions of the BSSR. After graduating in June 1949, she joined the school.

From August 1949 to August 1988, almost four decades, Lyubov Mikhailovna taught mathematics in schools in the Dokshitsky district of Vitebsk region. She taught hundreds of students, and for many of them she was not just a teacher, but a person who determined the path. She is also the wife of a veteran of the Great Patriotic War. Husband Mikhail Afanasyevich fought from June 1941 to May 1945, in April 1942 he received a through wound to his right hand, which led to disability. He passed away in 1996.

In 1997, Lyubov Mikhailovna moved to Minsk. She did not remarry, raised two sons, she has four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The labor veteran was presented with flowers, a postcard, gifts and a certificate.

- You have gone through difficult times, but you have not lost the main thing - the desire to be useful to people, Vladimir Shibeko addressed the birthday girl. Your career as a teacher is an example for everyone. To bring light into children’s minds, to teach them to think, to believe in themselves, is a great mission, and you have fulfilled it fully.
