Ministry of education has developed changes in the calculations of the exam: it is better to take 4 exams

The new rule with “dopas” coming fourth in the list of states for admission will not work with all subjects and not for everyone. The subject must correspond to the list: mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science, biology. And to do with this fourth exam “for reserve”, it is possible only “in the fields of education “Mathematical and natural sciences”, “Engineering, technology and technical sciences”, said in the draft order.

Which, in fact, includes a very wide range of specialties not only in the field of IT or engineering or nuclear physics. But also architecture, nanotechnology, light industry technologies, chemical technologies, air navigation, etc.

According to the new rules, you can get additional "points" only with the result of the fourth exam not lower than 60 points. And the spread of additional points is as follows: 60-74 points for this exam provide an additional 15 points to the total amount of the exam, 75-89 points of the exam add 20 points, 90-100 - plus 25 points.

Today, for admission to most universities, graduates pass three USE subjects. For example, in the direction of "Biotechnology" universities require the Russian language (mandatory exam number 1, it is given absolutely everything in the system of HE). The profile subject is the exam in chemistry, and another profile exam of choice. From the list: biology, mathematics profile, physics or computer science. From now on, if an applicant chooses one of the variable exams, he can add to it another from the list proposed by the university, gaining a competitive advantage.

Of course, four exams at once for our exam system and admission to the “Higher” is not a precedent, last year one applicant passed even 5 state exams. But earlier, such “increased obligations” were presented only by universities, and, top and eminent, including the oldest state universities. Now, if such a rule is adopted, an additional exam will be a voluntary choice for applicants who want to increase their chances.

In addition, the drafts of new orders of the Ministry of Education and Science contain a number of other rather serious changes in the 2020 campaign. Physics becomes a mandatory profile exam number one for all areas of mechanical engineering. The total number of areas where physics is required has been increased to 37. History is fixed as a mandatory subject in the humanities and socio-economic areas, where before the university could choose between history and social studies. Mathematics becomes mandatory in all specialties in the field of information security.

The scale of individual achievements, providing from 1 to 10 additional points to the exam (which is also important, since one-tenth of a point can become decisive in the competition), has also been achieved. It is planned that additional points will now be awarded to the holders of the Federation Council Medal “For Exhibited Courage”, the holders of the “Future Code” project certificate and applicants who received additional education in DOSAAF organizations. In total, for general achievements (not counting the new “extra” exam), you can get no more than 10 points.

It turns out that here the “disclaimer” decided not to increase, although previously discussed ideas to increase the premium for inductions to 20-30 points in addition to the exam. Given that it is more difficult to track volunteer books, TRP or project activities than assessments at state exams, the decision seems balanced.

Also, the Olympiads, who are in an eternal dispute with the stobalniks for the best budget, will be somewhat limited. According to the proposed new rules, the right to admission without entrance tests will remain only for the winners (winners – past). Moreover, the Olympiads themselves should be only for grades 10-11, only they will be taken into account.

The news also affected commercial students. Paid tuition will most likely need to be paid under the scheme “in the morning money, in the afternoon chairs” in 2027. That is, immediately make the full amount for the first semester or even a year of study (and not after putting consents, as before). That, according to the plan of the educational department and the government, will fix the choice of the applicant.

As for the target income, it is specified how many terms, so much the mechanism of the application. Customers (organizations) will have to submit their lists for quotas for the 2027/2028 academic year until April 1, 2026. The application campaign itself on the state platform (focusing on the previous campaign), runs from 1 to 31 March. If the applicant does not have time to conclude a contract with the future employer during this period, the target admission in 2027, most likely, will be for him “in flight”.
