Arkhangelsk architect Gennady Kalinenkov noted the gratitude of the Ministry of Construction of Russia. This was reported by the Ministry of Construction and Architecture of the Arkhangelsk region.

The Honored Builder of Russia gave his profession almost half a century, more than 35 years transfers experience to young designers of Pomerania. Now Kalinenkov teaches at the Arkhangelsk College of Construction and Economics - this academic year, 25 future architects sat down here at desks. He also heads the examination commission in the specialty “architect”, and at the Northern (Arctic) Federal University he directs graduate design of students.

Kalinenkov’s students work in the design institutes of Arkhangelsk, Moscow and St. Petersburg. Many of them became teachers themselves.

- For more than thirty years I have been taking exams from students at the technical school, leading graduate students at the university. When you see how your student grows into an independent master, it is perhaps no less joy than the handed over object, says Gennady Kalinenkov. My main task is not just to explain how to draw a facade, but to teach a young architect to think about the city, about the person who will live in the house he designed.

For his contribution to the development of urban development in the region and many years of work, Kalinenkov was awarded many awards, including the honorary title “Honored Builder of Russia”, the insignia “For Services to the Arkhangelsk Region” and membership in the Union of Architects of Russia.
