To restore the “Red bridge” in Dagestan decided because of the timing – this option will quickly return the crossing into operation, said the acting Minister of transport and road management of the Republic Jambulat Hajiyev at a press conference.

According to him, emergency recovery work is estimated at about 80 million rubles, while the construction of a new bridge would cost 500 million rubles and more. But the decisive factor was not cost, but time. The new bridge, taking into account the development of the project, would take more than a year and a half, and the restoration of the existing one allows you to meet the problem of transport communication for residents of the nearest areas faster and faster.

Hajiyev also spoke about the difficulties in choosing a contractor. Many large enterprises do not want to undertake reconstruction work, citing, among other things, employment. He thanked the company "Sibregionstroy" for agreeing to restore the bridge, noting that the profit for these works it does not receive.
