Ministry of Transport: all transport and road services are prepared for work in winter

Belarusian road enterprises have completed preparations for the winter season, the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications told sb.by.

The Ministry of Transport reminded:

- In the coming days, cold snaps and night frosts are expected in Belarus, ice is possible on some sections of roads, fog in some places. All transport and road services have already been prepared for winter.

According to the Ministry, the republican enterprises of highways carried out a set of measures to prepare for the autumn-winter period. Round-the-clock duty of dispatching services was organized, engineering preparation of winter road maintenance was carried out. 446 thousand tons of deicing materials were harvested: 181 thousand tons of sand-salt mixture and 265 thousand tons of pure salt. For pit repair at low temperatures, 4247 tons of organ-mineral mixture were harvested.

In addition, 1523 units of equipment were prepared: 42 rotary, 643 sand-salt distribution and 838 snow-plowing machines. More than 275 thousand square meters of yamnost eliminated on the republican roads of Belarus since the beginning of the year
