The Ministry of justice will change the rules for filling out the birth certificate

Problems in filling out the documents of the newborn arise now. For example, the parents may not agree on what surname he will wear, or if they could not for some reason give him a surname, it is given at the direction of the guardianship authority. But the situation when the father of the child died still causes difficulties for specialists of civil registration bodies.
Questions arise when the deceased father at the time of birth is called differently than at marriage, or his other personal data have changed. For example, after marriage, he could change his surname, name or patronymic (if any), take citizenship of the Russian Federation.
The Ministry of Justice decided that in such situations, the data about the father should be entered in accordance with his death certificate. In other cases, the birth certificate of the child will indicate those details of the parent that were entered in the marriage certificate.
