The Ministry of Health will join the Unified Safety Day, which this year will be held on September 24. More about this today, September 18, at a press conference in the media center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations said the head of the department of medical protection in emergency situations of the Ministry of Health Dmitry Lyakh, writes sb.by.

Dmitry Lyakh explained what the “golden hour” is and why it is important for everyone to be able to provide first aid:
- The first minutes after an incident are often crucial, so an eyewitness who knows how to provide first aid can increase the victim's chance of survival and recovery. It is for this purpose that a unified state system of first aid education is being formed in Belarus. In 2023, the Ministry of Health created training centers on the basis of educational institutions, including medical universities and colleges.

The training is aimed primarily at the formation of practical skills of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, stopping bleeding, helping with injuries, impaired airways, drowning and other life-threatening conditions. More than a thousand people undergo such training every year.
