Saturday took place on October 10 in the Soviet district. The main participants were students of the Minsk Radiotechnical College, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

- Today we are implementing our sixth civil initiative. More than 30,000 BYN were spent on putting this territory in order, said Oksana Besko, director of the branch of the Belarusian State Economic University Minsk Financial and Economic College, deputy of the Minsk City Council for the Masherovsky District.
Basically, proposals are received for the installation of children's play and sports complexes, street simulators, the arrangement of bicycle parking. All applications of residents of the district are competitively selected. By the way, 90% of the costs are covered by the city budget, and 10% are invested by residents themselves. For the implementation of civil initiatives, district housing and communal services, Zelenstroy, Remavtodor are involved.

Labor troops are specialists of housing and communal services, Kotos-25, as well as students of the Minsk Radiotechnical College. The youth removed garbage, foliage, cleaned the front gardens from dried plants.
- I already took part in Saturday nights – the school constantly cleaned the territory, helped the elderly. Our country is one of the cleanest, well-groomed, and I am pleased to contribute to make the city even more beautiful, said Arina Novik, a second-year student of the Minsk Radiotechnical College.
- Getting up so early was not difficult, even slept ten minutes more, said sophomore Veronika Filippovich with a smile. It is always nice to see our city clean and beautiful!
- Any civil initiative is the beginning of a great journey. We regularly hold meetings with the population, involve residents in the improvement of yard areas. Residents came to the reception and offered to replace the equipment at two playgrounds - then this yard will play with new colors! - said Svetlana Sivtsova, deputy director for social issues and work with the population of the housing and communal services of the Soviet district of Minsk.
In gratitude for the help in cleaning the leaves for the participants of the Saturday organized a tea party.
