On September 25, a 40-year-old woman turned to the police of the Kalinin district, who said that her car was set on fire by an unknown person. After the September statement, police arrived at the scene and saw the remains of a BMW once standing there. The damage was estimated at 2.7 million rubles. CCTV showed that the unknown at night approached the car and doused it with flammable liquid, set fire to and fled.
Employees of the threat squad established the identity of the suspect and on October 7, during a business trip, detained an 18-year-old boy in the suburbs at his place of residence. A criminal case was initiated under part 2 of article 167 of the criminal code of the Russian Federation (intentional destruction of someone else's property).
