Moscow temple "Tubden Shedubling" will be visited by a delegation of Buddhist monks from the Indian monastery "Drepung Gomang". The visit will be held from October 14 to 25 at the invitation of Rector Geshe Yonten and with the support of the Drepung Gomang Center Foundation.
The monks will create a sand mandala of 21 incarnations of Green Tara. The process starts on October 14 with the ritual of land redemption and consecration of the Mandel Sachog foundation, after which the masters will begin to apply colored marble sand through the chagpura funnels according to ancient canons.
The Nineteenth of October will be the ritual of consecration “Slave”. From this day until October 24, the mandala will be open for contemplation and worship.
The twenty-fifth of October at 12:00 will be the final. The mandala will be deliberately destroyed as a sign of the impermanence of everything, and the sand will be divided into two parts.
