Mordovia increased the production of sweets by almost 60% for the year

In January – August 2026, confectionery enterprises of Mordovia produced 4.4 thousand tons of products. According to Mordoviastat, for the year the volume of production increased by almost 60%: for eight months of 2025, about 2.6 thousand tons of sweets were produced in the republic.

Growth was also noted in another segment of food production. During the same period, local enterprises received 1.1 billion eggs, which is 8.8% more than last year.

In terms of egg production, Mordovia entered the top three leaders of the country, taking first place among the regions of the Volga Federal District. Thus, the republic demonstrated positive dynamics in two directions of the food industry. An increase in output may indicate an increase in production and an increase in the supply of local products.
