The bridge over Pechora in Komi rose to 76 billion rubles
For several years, the preliminary price of the project has more than tripled.

The project for the construction of a bridge across Pechora on the Syktyvkar-Naryan-Mar road was again revised upwards. Now the preliminary cost of the object itself, together with the access roads, is estimated at more than 76.3 billion rubles. The new amount appeared in the documents of the republican targeted investment program.
For the project, this is not the first serious rise in price – for several years, the preliminary price has more than tripled.
The bridge itself remains at the design stage. The contract for the development of documentation worth 474.3 million rubles was concluded in 2022, but in July 2026 it was terminated. The contractor performed part of the survey and prepared several volumes of documentation, but the completed project with a positive conclusion of the state examination failed to obtain.
It is assumed that the bridge will become an important element of the Syktyvkar-Naryan-Mar highway. Its construction should help form a more sustainable road connection between the regions. Now the route remains unfinished: in some areas there is no full coverage, and part of the road requires construction almost from scratch.
According to plans, the bridge over Pechora should appear in the area of Ust-Usa. In the investment program, its commissioning is set for 2037, and construction financing is expected to begin from 2028.
The history of the project shows how difficult the implementation of this transport direction remains. While the cost of the future bridge continues to be clarified, the final parameters of the object and the timing of its construction will depend on the completion of design work and passing state expertise.
