After the overhaul, a bridge over the Tesha River was opened on the Kulebaki - Valtovo - Salavir - Petrov Most road in the Navashinsky district.
The construction connects Kulebak and Navashinsky districts. Earlier, experts identified multiple defects on it: corrosion of metal beams, destruction of concrete supports and plates, malfunction of supporting parts, violation of waterproofing and deformation seams, lack of safety fences. The bridge was in disrepair – it could drive cars weighing no more than 18 tons at a speed not higher than 20 km / h.
Therefore, they decided to carry out a major repair. During the work, the movement on the crossing was stopped, organizing a temporary bypass road with two-way traffic for cars.
The contractor dismantled the old structure, erected monolithic supports, mounted a span structure, applied a waterproofing layer, laid a new coating, installed a barrier fence and put the adjacent territory in order.
The bridge is already open to traffic. As the head of GUAD Alexander Denisov said, now it is necessary to demolish the temporary crossing - this can be done without restrictions for transport.
