MTS Link learned to recognize Chinese
On the platform for business communication, learning and collaboration MTS Link appeared the function of Chinese recognition.
Artificial intelligence now understands Chinese and generates subtitles in 19 languages in real time. The feature was presented at the Digital Solutions Forum on October 9, 2026.
Previously, artificial intelligence recognized and translated into other languages only Russian and English speech. The new feature allows you to immediately convert the speaker’s speech in Chinese into text and translate into any of the languages available on the platform in real time. The technology takes into account the nuances of Chinese speech, in which the meaning of what is said often depends on the tone and intonation.
The feature will be useful at international meetings and conferences, in online learning, as well as when working with colleagues from China.
Subtitles in Meetings from MTS Link became available in 2025. In the first quarter of 2026, the functionality was expanded: real-time translation became available to users. Now the AI recognizes Russian, English and Chinese, and translates speech into English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Polish, Dutch, Chinese, Slovak, Turkish, Vietnamese, Kazakh, Arabic, Swedish, Uzbek and Tatar.
Over the year, the function has been significantly improved: AI has become better at recognizing and translating slang and highly specialized terms, as well as abbreviations. Subtitles can be combined with another platform function – simultaneous translation. If a synchronist works at the event, the listener can choose both an audio channel and a subtitle language.
