Murmansk residents reminded of fines for publishing fake photos of fires and accidents
Residents of the Murmansk region may be fined for distributing images created by neural networks of non-existent fires, explosions and other dangerous incidents. This was reported in News.ru.

Residents of the Murmansk region may be fined for distributing images created by neural networks of non-existent fires, explosions and other dangerous incidents. This was reported in News.ru.
The reason for the warning was an incident in the Amur region. There, a woman was fined 15 thousand rubles for publishing a photo of a bear generated by a neural network. She wanted to prank a friend, but the image caused concern among local residents and attracted the attention of police.
Responsibility in such cases comes not for the creation of the image using artificial intelligence, but for the dissemination of false information in the presence of legal grounds.
For the publication of knowingly unreliable socially significant information that poses a threat to the security of citizens, the penalty is from 30 to 100 thousand rubles.
At the same time, not every image generated can cause a penalty. To prosecute, it is necessary to establish the circumstances of the publication, including the knowing inaccuracy of information and the presence of a threat to the security of citizens provided for by law.
Therefore, residents of the Murmansk region should check the information before publication and not give the images of emergency incidents created by neural networks as real events.
Earlier, “MK in Murmansk” reported that northerners were told that blind faith in AI will lead to mistakes at work.
