Solid municipal waste illegally accumulated on the reserve lands in the district. Garbage containers stood right on the ground, without an equipped platform with a hard surface, which violated sanitary standards.
The prosecutor's office made a submission to the head of the Kola district. After that, the administration quickly reacted: the landfill was removed, and the territory was cleared.
Earlier, “MK in Murmansk” said that the administration of the Kola district received a warning because of the dump on the island of Kildin.
