The man under the guise of an insurance agent cheated Orlovka on 135 thousand rubles

In the Orel region, the police caught a fraudster. The man introduced himself as an insurance agent and promised to help a local resident after an accident, but he appropriated the money received from her without rendering a service. Details were told in the press service of the regional MIA.

A woman works in a taxi. During one trip, she met a passenger who identified himself as an insurance company employee and left her his phone number. Later, after getting into an accident, Orlovka turned to him for help. The man asked to transfer 135 thousand rubles to the accounts indicated by him. The woman fulfilled the request, but did not receive the promised help, and the interlocutor stopped communicating. Orlovchanka wrote a statement to the police. A criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

During the investigation, criminal investigation officers established the identity and location of the fraudster. He was a local resident born in 1994. The man did not actually work for an insurance company. To receive money, he used the accounts of a relative and an acquaintance. They did not know his intentions: at the request of the man cashed the received funds and handed him over.

The investigation is ongoing. The suspect was selected a preventive measure in the form of a subscription not to leave and proper behavior.
