Karelia’s Mustheater Brings Lucia di Lammermoor to Moscow

The Musical Theatre of Karelia is preparing for a tour in the capital: in October, Gaetano Donizetti’s famous opera Lucia di Lammermoor will be shown on the stage of the Helicon Opera. The performance will take place in the program of the festival “See music”. A large-scale delegation of more than 100 people, including choir artists, soloists, orchestra musicians and technical specialists, went to Moscow.

The main role in the play will be performed by the People's Artist of Karelia Elvin Mullin. The image of Edgardo will be embodied by the guest - the soloist of the Bolshoi Theater and the "New Opera" Valery Makarov, who is already familiar to the Karelian audience for this production. The orchestra will be led by Honored Artist of the Republic Mikhail Sinkevich. It is worth noting that “Lucia di Lammermoor” is rightfully considered the pearl of the world opera repertoire.
