Music that unites generations: activists of the Volunteer Company gave a holiday to the guests of the gerontological center

The October Gerontological Center hosted a festive concert organized by activists of the Volunteer Company of the Combat Brotherhood of the Kostroma region. Young volunteers prepared for the older generation a rich creative program filled with music, dancing and sincere emotions.

On this day, the walls of the institution filled with familiar melodies, applause and warm smiles. Volunteers came not only to speak in front of the audience, but also to give them the most valuable – attention, care and the opportunity to feel the atmosphere of this holiday.

The concert program united different directions of creativity. For residents and employees of the center, soulful poems were sounded, folk dances and theatrical productions dedicated to the tales of the peoples of Russia were presented. Each performance became a kind of journey into the world of culture, traditions and art.

A particularly touching part of the event was the performance of famous domestic songs. In the hall sounded the compositions “You tell me about love”, “From the Volga to the Yenisei” and the favorite song of many generations “Where the maple makes noise” group “Blue Bird”.

Familiar melodies did not leave anyone indifferent. The audience with pleasure sang along with the artists, recalled their youth, shared their emotions and thanked the children for the gifts. For many, this concert was not only an opportunity to distract from everyday worries, but also an occasion to plunge back into cherished memories.

As the head of the organizational department of the Volunteer Company of Combat Brotherhood in the Kostroma region Elizaveta Bayanova emphasized, such events occupy a special place in the volunteer activities of the organization.

“It is very important for us that the older generation feel that they are not alone, that there are young people nearby who are ready to surround them with attention and care. Such meetings are much more than just a concert. It is a lively communication, sincere smiles and emotions that cannot be conveyed in words. When you see people singing along to familiar songs, how their eyes light up, you understand why we do volunteer work. We want not only to give joy, but also to strengthen the bond between generations, because it is the older generation that transmits us life wisdom, traditions and values that must be cherished, said Yelizaveta Bayanova.

Such initiatives help to build a dialogue between young people and the older generation, recalling the importance of human participation, respect and mutual assistance.

For Volunteer Rota activists, visiting the gerontology center was another opportunity to show care for those who are in particular need of attention and support.

The festive concert once again proved that special occasions are not needed for good deeds, and sincere attention and several hours of spiritual communication can give people unforgettable emotions.
