The interior Ministry after reports of calls scammers for the day suspended spending operations on 51 accounts

Over the past day, the police received more than 100 reports of phone calls scammers. Thanks to the efficiency of internal affairs officers and the vigilance of citizens, the vast majority of atrocities were prevented. This was reported in the interior Ministry, writes sb.by.

6 crimes committed using information and communication technologies were registered.

The department of the organization of processing fraudulent transactions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs blocked the possibility of payments to 11 foreign payment details used by attackers, suspended expenditure operations on 51 accounts.

Operatives detained two couriers working in the interests of scammers.

According to the method of committing illegal acts, viching on behalf of officials (telephone fraud) leads. Then there is the purchase of goods on the Internet, theft using social networks and rental housing.

“Work on the detection and suppression of fraudulent actions continues,” the department noted.
