The Ministry of Internal Affairs warned Volgograd residents about the risks of storing personal data in a smartphone
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia listed RIA categories of data that should not be stored in a mobile phone

According to the agency, scans of the passport, SNILS, TIN and driver's license can be used by attackers to gain access to accounts in social networks and messengers, as well as to create fakes. It is recommended to store such documents in secure cloud storage with two-factor authentication.
Passwords from social networks, mail and banking applications should not be sent in messengers or stored in notes and browser. It is better to use special managers. Card numbers, PINs and addresses should be removed from correspondence, as attackers study them first.
Reports of receipts and account balances reveal financial habits and income levels, so the message history from banks is recommended to be cleared regularly. The Ministry of Internal Affairs also advises to delete unnecessary contacts, transfer important data to a secure backup copy and not to store personal information in contact cards.
