School No. 18 in Sochi opened an art space for creativity, reading and intellectual pursuits. 900 thousand rubles were allocated for its creation within the framework of school initiative budgeting.
In the room, the decoration was updated, specialized furniture and chess tables were purchased, the press service of the resort administration reported. They also installed an interactive screen that will help schoolchildren master digital technologies, develop spatial thinking and reveal creative abilities.
Director of the Department of Education of the Sochi Administration Olga Medvedeva noted that the new space will unite creativity, reading and acquaintance with the cultural traditions of different peoples. “The implementation of the project, available thanks to school initiative budgeting, allowed to create a unique atmosphere of creative development, education and patriotic education of young people”, – said the head.
Within the framework of this program, students can propose ideas for the development of the school and choose for what purposes to allocate funds. Up to a million rubles are allocated for each project.
Four projects have already been implemented in Sochi. School No. 80 named after Hero of the Soviet Union D. L. Kalarash has a cinema hall "Focus", in the gymnasium No. 44 named after V. A. Sukhomlinsky opened a museum exhibition "Heroes of the SVO - our countrymen", and in the gymnasium No. 15 named after N. N. Belousov equipped a library with an interactive table and panel for independent work. By the end of December, the city plans to implement another 15 projects: 11 in schools and four in kindergartens.
Earlier it became known that in Sochi on the routes will go new buses worth 600 million rubles.
