The Smola Forum hosted an expert session of the Presidential Platform “Russia – the Land of Opportunities”

In the Smolensk region, within the framework of the Youth Educational Forum “Smola”, a panel session “Dialogue of Opportunities” was held, organized by the Presidential Platform “Russia is a Land of Opportunities”. Participants met with experts, representatives of regional authorities and graduates of the platform projects. They discussed trajectories of personal and professional development, as well as got acquainted with competitions and initiatives for young people.

The forum brought together 120 young people aged 18 to 35 years, representing educational organizations and youth public associations of the Smolensk region. The panel session became a platform for sharing experiences and discussing opportunities for self-realization.

The discussion was moderated by Elena Astrakhantseva, Senior Community Coordinator of the Regional Development Department of the Presidential Platform “Russia – Country of Opportunities”.

Head of the Main Department of the Smolensk region for youth policy and civic-patriotic education Elena Poselova spoke about the regional support for youth initiatives. She noted that the Smola forum has become not only an educational platform, but also a place to unite active young people who are ready to participate in the development of the region.

According to her, the Russia – Land of Opportunities platform helps young people take part in competitions, find mentors and join like-minded communities. The main result of the joint work, she called the desire of the participants to act for the benefit of the Smolensk region and continue self-realization in the region.

The speakers shared their experience of participating in projects and competitions of the Presidential Platform. Ambassador of the international competition-prize “CARDO” in the Smolensk region Mikhail Korolkov spoke about the development of street culture and sports.

The winner of the track “Ministry of Content” of the TopBlog project, the author of the book “Smolensk Culinary” and the Ambassador of Hospitality of the region Mariana Dvinyaninova presented the experience of promoting the tourism potential of the Smolensk region through media projects.

Danila Dashkov, a student of the Smolensk State Medical University, explained how skills diagnostics can help in building a career.

The educational program of the forum was supplemented by a lecture “Profession + AI: why it is more important to be able to set a task than to know everything yourself.” It was conducted by the art director of the web studio Ninesquares and an expert of the State Design Workshop of the Senezh Management Workshop Maxim Chistov. He spoke about modern digital tools and their application in creative industries.

At the end of the session, the participants received new knowledge and practical tools for career and personal development. They learned about competitions and platform projects, asked questions to experts and graduates. Many expressed their readiness to join the initiatives of the Presidential Platform “Russia – Land of Opportunities”.
