Karl Marx in Ulyanovsk completes the restoration of the road after repair of heating networks

The restoration of the carriageway on Karl Marx Street is entering its final stage. The lower layer of asphalt at the repair site of the heat main has already been laid, and today, on September 20, road workers plan to continue work and complete the upper surface.

Before asphalt, the workers had to restore the base of the road on a fairly large site. The pit with a length of about 400 meters and a width of 8 meters was covered with a layered seal, after which a gravel base was prepared.

Then a layer of asphalt was laid on the site. In one shift, a new coating appeared on an area of more than 2,200 square meters.

The work was scheduled for September 19 and 20. Therefore, today road workers have to lay the upper layer of asphalt. After the completion of this stage, traffic on the site is planned to open.

Before that, the restored carriageway should be checked: attention will be paid to the thickness of the coating and compliance with the laying technology. This is necessary so that after the return of cars on the road do not begin to appear ruts and pits.

Thus, the main work on Karl Marx should be completed on September 20. The next step will be to open the restored section for traffic.
