On the map of Minsk appeared a new ecotrope “On the Dam”

In the Central district of the capital, a new ecological trail “On the Dam” appeared in the forest park zone near the hydroelectric plant at the Drozda reservoir. This was reported by sb.by in the Minsk City Committee of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection.

- The length of the route, created on the initiative of the Minsk Forest Park Management, is 450 meters. It is arranged in a forest near the ecotrope "Water Spaces" and recreation areas "On that shore." The name of the trail, “On the Dam”, was chosen not by chance: part of the route runs along the canal, where from a special observation deck you can watch this beaver dam and, if you are lucky, see its owner.

Information stands and tablets installed along the trail contain information on the biological and landscape diversity of the forest fund, water body, the basics of the functioning of the forest ecosystem, the activities of the forest service. Visitors get acquainted with the features of the forest as a balanced, self-sustaining ecosystem. Part of the stands is devoted to human security in the forest fund.
