In Kherson region discussed the creation of a district Cossack society

In the Kherson region, a meeting was held with the participation of ataman of the All-Russian Cossack Society Vitaly Kuznetsov. The central topic of the meeting was the creation of the Kherson District Cossack Society and its subsequent entry into the All-Russian structure. The discussion was also attended by First Deputy Governor of the Kherson region Pavel Shuvalkin and Head of the Department of Internal Policy of the region Oksana Kalashnikova.

Vitaly Kuznetsov noted that the procedure for creating a society is at the final stage. In the near future, a constituent circle will take place, after which the Cossack society of the region will receive official status. Cossacks are a unifying factor, and here, in the Kherson region, we saw that people are ready to unite, he said.

There are more than 300 Cossacks in the region, but the potential, according to the participants of the meeting, is much higher. After joining the All-Russian society, the Cossacks will be able to participate in federal events, grant programs and projects on youth policy.
