In Kherson region after the prosecutor’s inspection brought down inflated prices for products

The Prosecutor’s office of the Genic district of the Kherson region checked how the legislation on pricing is implemented. The reason was that in the region there are maximum permissible retail prices for socially important food products.

Despite the established restrictions, the audit of a number of outlets of the Genic Municipal District revealed facts of overestimation. Milk, buckwheat, sunflower oil, flour and sugar were sold above the permissible level - the margin ranged from 6 to 65%.

As a result of the inspection, the prosecutor's office made submissions to the owners of the shops. In addition, five cases were initiated on administrative offenses under part 1 of article 7.7 of the Law of the Kherson region of 04.03.2026 No. 1-ZCW “On administrative offenses in the Kherson region”, which provides for liability for overstating the maximum permissible prices and their levels for certain types of goods.

Two more entrepreneurs were involved under article 14.15 of the administrative code of the Russian Federation for violation of the rules for the sale of certain types of goods, expressed in the absence of price tags.

Cases of administrative offences were considered. The perpetrators were punished in the form of warnings and a fine of 40 thousand rubles.

After the intervention of the supervisory authority, the cost of socially significant goods is brought into line with the established limit level.
