In Kuban since the beginning of the year, doctors have helped 20 thousand patients with heart attack and stroke

Since the beginning of 2026 in the Krasnodar region, doctors have saved about 20 thousand patients with acute cardiovascular diseases. Of these, 6 thousand people suffered a heart attack, another 14 thousand – a stroke, explained in the press service of the administration of Kuban with reference to the regional Ministry of health.

Minister of Health of the region Vladimir Krushelnitsky noted that timely medical care and the work of vascular centers allow saving patients. “Our goal is not only to save, but also to prevent critical situations. Prevention of heart disease is given special attention in the framework of medical examination, he added.

Since the beginning of the year, more than 2.2 million residents of the region have undergone a comprehensive survey. In the Krasnodar region there are more than 20 interdistrict vascular centers. In them, patients with cardiovascular diseases are provided with specialized, including high-tech, medical care. Prevention and treatment of heart disease are among the objectives of the national project “Long and active life”.
