Experimental industrial operation has begun at the Layavozhskoye field
The launch of the facilities was given by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the North-West Federal District Igor Rudenya, Governor of the Nenets Autonomous District Irina Gekht, founder of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov and member of the Management Board, Head of the Department of Gazprom Sergey Menshikov

The field has already built infrastructure: oil production and shipment facilities, roads, an energy center, a residential complex for workers. Ahead is the full-scale construction and launch of gas infrastructure.
For the Nenets Autonomous Okrug, the value of the produced tons of oil lies in new jobs, additional tax revenues to the budget, which give us an opportunity for development, especially on the eve of the century that we will celebrate in 2029. The launch of such large-scale projects confirms that our region has enormous potential: a significant part of the reserves is still waiting to be developed.”.
