Attacks on people in the reserve “Khakassky” is not recorded. This was reported in the social networks of the security zone.
On the eve of the reserve held an emergency meeting of the scientific and technical Council due to the difficult situation with the brown bear in the region. The problem was discussed by the staff of the reserve, the Joint Directorate of the Sayano-Shushensky Reserve and the Shushensky Bor National Park, as well as representatives of the Khakass branch of the RGS.
This autumn, bears were often seen at guard cordons. From the predator suffered infrastructure in the areas of "Little Abakan", "Capital Lykov", on the territory of the reserve "Pozarym named after V. M. Zimin", in a scientific hospital on the cordon "Karasuma". Due to the release of the beast into the steppes and forest-steppes, the Oglahty ecological and excursion complex was closed for tourists.
“At the same time, the staff emphasize that there are no permanent bears near a person, there were no cases of attack.” There is no direct threat, but it is necessary to remain fully prepared, the statement said.
At the meeting, it was decided not to apply active measures to regulate the number of brown bears in the reserve, but the regime of high readiness remains. The main task of the inspectors now is to constantly monitor the territory: visual observation, as well as to photograph and video the exits of animals to the infrastructure.
The meeting participants noted that in the absence of attacks and the constant presence of bears next to humans, the grounds for immediate removal of individuals are not enough. But in case of a threat, applications will be sent to the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia.
“We ask all guests of the republic and local residents to observe safety rules in natural areas. If you notice a bear near a settlement, you should not take pictures, attract attention and try to feed it, the experts warned.
The release of the predator should be reported to the number 112 or the local administration.
Earlier we reported that due to the activity of bears in one of the schools Abaza introduced new security measures. There was limited entrance and parking for cars.
