According to Orelstat, the total length of roads exceeds 17,000 kilometers. Of these, 456.2 km are of federal significance; 3.9 thousand km are of regional or inter-municipal significance; 12.8 thousand km are of local significance.

The department added that every year the number of motorists who received rights in the Orel region grows by an average of 7.2 thousand people. At the same time, the driving culture is growing: over the past 10 years, offending drivers have decreased by 4.8 times. Pedestrians also become more disciplined, with 4.3 times fewer violations.
