On the eve, on the birthday of the scientist and educator Nomto Ochirov, a memorable event was held at his grave in the village of Ketchenera.

The leadership of the district, veterans and members of the public honored his memory, laid wreaths and flowers, and expressed gratitude for the preservation of the cultural heritage of the Kalmyk people.

On the initiative of the Council of Elders of the district in the village of Ketchenera, a square named after N. Ochirov is being built.

On October 21, a charity concert will be held in Elista to fund the construction of N. Ochirov Square. The opening of the square is planned in the last days of October.
