In the North Caucasus since the beginning of the year detained 260 people for terrorism
Security forces since the beginning of 2026 prevented in the North Caucasus 33 terrorist crimes

Since the beginning of 2026, security forces have prevented 33 terrorist crimes in the North Caucasus. This was reported by the information center of the National Anti-Terrorism Committee following a meeting chaired by the Director of the FSB of Russia Alexander Bortnikov.
Since the beginning of the year, 260 people have been detained in the NCFD for preparing terrorist attacks, financing, propaganda and justifying terrorism.
Since the beginning of the year, more than 4,000 resources that spread terrorist content have been blocked, including sites administered by Ukrainian special services and offering quick earnings for committing crimes.
Bortnikov noted that as a result of preventive work, the number of terrorist crimes has decreased, and the protection of the information space of the region has been significantly strengthened. Attempts to involve minors in the preparation of terrorist attacks were promptly suppressed in a number of schools.
Nevertheless, the meeting noted that the situation remains difficult: terrorist organizations and Ukrainian special services do not reduce propaganda and recruitment activities, choosing teenagers and young people as the main target. Additional measures have been developed to improve preventive work.
