At UAZ earned a new site of small stamping with 64 presses

At the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant, small stamping and subsequent processing of parts were combined on one site. The new plot of about 3.5 thousand square meters includes 64 presses, 18 machines and other production equipment.

Presses of 25 to 100 tons of force were concentrated on the site. Here they also placed 18 machine tools for processing threads, belting and crushing equipment, and also organized the storage of about two thousand stamps.

Thanks to this layout, several stages of manufacturing parts now take place in one production area - from stamping and additional processing to warehousing. We are talking primarily about the components that are used directly in the production of UAZ cars.

At the same time, the company continues to develop the production of large body parts. The design capacity of this direction is up to 800 thousand stamping operations per year. In September, the plant also started installing an additional press with a force of 2,500 tons.

Component production is also expanding in the Volga region. By the end of 2026, they plan to master more than 650 items of small body elements with a potential output of about 10 million products per year.

All these projects are aimed at expanding their own production base. At the same time, there is no data that the changes will affect the cost of spare parts in retail sales.
