In Belarus, special exercises “Barrier-2026” are held: military personnel of the joint formation of radiation, chemical and biological protection (RCBZ) and medical support of the CSTO have started practical actions. Belta writes about it.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus, the crew of the RKM-8 reconnaissance chemical vehicle took a sample at the suspected site of infection and delivered it to a field laboratory for analysis for the presence of dangerous or especially dangerous infections. The laboratory includes two modules: module "A" detects toxic and radioactive substances, and module "B" - means of biological weapons and pathogens of dangerous infections.

During this stage of the exercises, issues of occupation of the designated area, equipment of the concentration area in engineering terms, camouflage, organization of comprehensive support, as well as the preparation of joint formation forces and means to perform tasks in the interests of the Collective Peacekeeping Forces of the CSTO are being worked out.

During the maneuvers, joint actions are worked out for conducting biological reconnaissance, selecting, analyzing the samples under investigation, as well as for conducting full special processing. At the CSTO exercises “Indestructible Brotherhood – 2026” approved the plan of a conditional peacekeeping operation
