The head of the Belarusian delegation, head of the main department of emergency services and emergency response of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Andrey Metelsky, said that the main task of Belarusian specialists was the reconnaissance of destruction sites.
In addition, rescuers worked on the elimination of the consequences of the accident on railway transport, in which “the tank with ammonia collapsed”. The problem was complicated by the presence of conditional victims blocked in the passenger car. In total, more than 20 difficult episodes were worked out during the exercises.
- Practical development of joint response mechanisms will allow us to quickly and effectively counteract current threats and challenges in the field of protecting the population and territories from emergency situations, said Andrey Metelsky.
In Tajikistan, the practical part of the special exercises of rescue units of the CSTO member countries Scala-2026 has ended. Belarusian rescuers participated in large-scale maneuvers along with colleagues from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
