At the velodrome "Minsk-Arena" was held the grand final of the fifth season of the competition "Pershy Rovar"

At the velodrome "Minsk-Arena" today, October 10, the grand final of the anniversary, fifth season of children's and youth competitions "Pershy Rovar" was held. The final start of the year brought together more than 150 children and adults, Minsk-Novosti reports.

Recall that the first tournament of this season started in April in Loshitsky Park, where the best were identified among children from Lenin and October. Similar competitions were held in the rest of the city. Students were selected in three types of programs - mass races, figure driving and mountain bike. At each of these tournaments, regardless of district affiliation, the youngest participants on begovelas and bicycles (without side wheels), as well as teams in family relays could perform.

The best were invited to the grand final in Minsk Arena. Locations for each type of program were equipped on the core of the sports complex, another discipline was conducted on the canvas of the velodrome. Before the competition, children and adults were instructed by honorable guests. Among them was the Chairman of the Minsk City Council of Deputies Artem Tsuran.

Pershy Rovar is interesting because any young citizen of Minsk can engage in physical activity without the involvement of masters and coaches. Teams were formed from each school, and those who performed better than others raced at the district stage. All this took place in parks and in the central areas of the districts. The Grand Final is a real holiday, and children come to support family and friends. Those who fall into the top three are invited to try their hand at a sports school. I emphasize: it is important to attract and interest children. At these competitions, they see that an active lifestyle is cool, fun, exciting, said Artem Tsuran.

Starts began at each location. The most emotional was among the young participants. There were falls, someone went outside the track, incorrectly laid a turn. Failures brought tears. But the organizers and parents were ready - the children received prizes, gifts, sweets and forgot about the trouble. Some said they would train and win next season.

Among the participants was the titled Belarusian cyclist Yevgeny Korolyok. He said that his daughter Eva for the second year performs at the tournament “Pershy Rovar”. In 2025, there were starts at two district stages and in the grand final. This is a similar story.

- The child really likes to chase - it's positive emotions, excitement. The Grand Final is a fairy tale. The organizers are good at providing presents for each child, a lot of activities for participants and spectators. Now we were offered to try our hand at the family relay. Why not? This is an interesting experience, a new challenge. It would be great to win a family medal, shared Evgeny Korolyok.

In mountain biking, the girls were defeated by Karina Verbilo of the Partizan district. The girl said that she rides a bicycle in the village. This year, she was asked to try her hand at school. She won first at the district stage, and then everything worked out in the grand final.

- She used to swim professionally and then left. If you offer to go to cycling, I agree. I really enjoyed racing, added Karina.

After the award ceremony, a disco for participants and spectators began.
