Magnetic storm will hit Voronezh on October 9

Next Friday, October 9, in Voronezh is expected to increase geomagnetic activity. According to the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the IKI RAS and ISZF SB RAS, the oscillations of the magnetosphere will begin around 9:00 and reach the level of G1, which is classified as a weak storm.

After that, the intensity will decrease for a short time, but by noon, around 12:00, the geomagnetic background will again increase and approach the level of G2, the average storm. Stabilization of the magnetosphere is expected only after 15:00.

Experts remind that during such periods, weather-sensitive citizens may face deterioration of health: decreased efficiency, headaches, mood swings and increased irritability. To more easily tolerate the effects of geomagnetic fluctuations, it is recommended to adhere to a normal sleep regime, be outdoors more often and avoid excessive physical exertion.
