On the whole street Shevchenko in Ulyanovsk will prohibit stopping and parking cars

In Ulyanovsk, drivers will be forbidden to stop and leave cars on Shevchenko Street. This decision was made by the city authorities due to traffic jams and parked cars that interfere with traffic.

After the opening of a new road bridge across Sviyaga, the traffic flow on Shevchenko Street increased significantly.

According to the head of the city Alexander Boldakin, motorists often leave cars along the roadway in a continuous row. Because of this, the road becomes narrower, and the passage of other cars is difficult.

To improve the situation, the Road Safety Commission unanimously supported a ban on stopping and parking all along Shevchenko Street.

In addition, at the intersection of Krolyunitsky and Buinskaya streets, they plan to equip an additional pedestrian crossing. There will be a traffic light with a green call button.

The exact timing of the new restrictions has not yet been announced.
