Since the beginning of 2026, specialists of the department have surveyed 2.7 million hectares of the territory of the Chelyabinsk region. This is almost 31% of the area of the region.
To monitor the spread of pests installed 1160 pheromone traps. In addition, employees of the Rosselkhoznadzor collected almost 1.6 thousand samples, which were sent for laboratory research to the Ural branch of the ARRIAH.
Separately, experts checked quarantine zones previously established due to insects dangerous to the forest. We are talking about black pine, black spruce and small black spruce mustaches.
As a result of the inventory of the boundaries of the zones associated with black pine mustache, it was possible to revise. Their total area decreased by 263.3 thousand hectares and now amounts to 2.4 million hectares.
