Complaints about dangerous plants in kindergarten and unsanitary conditions at school were answered by the education committee

One of the parents complained about unsanitary conditions in the dining room, the long absence of a physics teacher and the “failure of digitalization” in the capital’s secondary school No. 152. That this was answered in the Education Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency learned.

An anonymous netizen sent the editorial board of the Minsk-Novosti agency a complaint to the management of secondary school No. 152, listing the shortcomings, which, according to the author, are systematic in nature.

In particular, we are talking about the “disruption of the educational process”, which is a long absence of a physics teacher.

“No one teaches the subject; children are left without basic knowledge. In addition, teachers regularly do not appear in the classroom, and children are constantly disrupted from classes and forcibly taken to various activities instead of studying. Why does the school receive funding if lessons are not held? the reader wrote and added that the school has a "complete failure of digitalization" - allegedly the administration of the educational institution ignores the maintenance of electronic diaries. The author claims that “homework is written by one teacher for the whole school, no one puts marks in the system, quarters are empty.” Because of this, you have to “pull waste paper and write everything the old-fashioned way.”.

The claim ends with a listing of a violation of sanitary requirements in the dining room: “Roaches run on the food block, near food and on tables. Children are forced to eat in conditions of complete unsanitary conditions, the school management does not care about the health of students.”.

The above facts were checked by specialists of the Education Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee, but the criticisms were exaggerated.

The vacancy of a physics teacher opened in early 2026, and by the end of the academic year, replacements of classes by teachers of other academic subjects were organized, since there is one rate of a physics teacher in the school.

- In the summer, a candidate was selected for the existing vacancy, the necessary documents were collected, but on August 25, the candidate announced that she would not be able to go to work. — Since the first of September, the hours of physics in the VII-IX classes are vacant, in the X-XI classes the subject is taught by a fourth-year student. Candidate for teaching in VII-IX grades was selected. Requests for employment have been sent. At present, teachers of other subjects are replacing classes in physics. The headmaster of the school is instructed to take personal control over the teaching of physics.

It is also noted that students attend training classes in accordance with the approved schedule, and patriotic and mass sports events in accordance with the schedules and orders of the district administration for education.

As for keeping a paper diary, this is a must for every student. At the same time, teachers keep an electronic journal and electronic diaries on the school.by platform (classes, schedule of training sessions, homework and marks are included).

The complaint against the school food unit was not confirmed. It is kept in order - workers comply with sanitary norms and rules, no insects are found. Control of the general cleaning of the catering unit is carried out by the school management, and daily duty of the deputy director, teachers and classes is organized in the dining room.

Another complaint concerns dangerous plants on the territory of one of the kindergartens of the capital. About the presence of a timeless magnificent and the fruits of lilies in TikTok told Minsk.

And the most interesting thing is that they grow in the garden, yes, they are terribly poisonous, it is enough for a child to literally hold a flower in his hands and then, for example, dig his mouth in order to have nausea, possible loss of consciousness and so on, the woman said, noting that she reported on the dangers of the kindergarten administration, but the signal was ignored there.

In the monologue, it was also about the berries of lilies, which also grow in the garden and are poisonous.

The presence of dangerous plants was confirmed during the inspection of the educational institution. Despite the fact that the flowers grew far from the playgrounds, they were completely removed, and the territory was brought into compliance with safety, sanitary norms and regulations.

- An explanatory conversation was held with employees of the kindergarten about the need to timely identify and remove potentially unsafe plants not only on playgrounds, but also throughout the preschool education institution, the committee concluded.
