Garage boss in Charya will answer in court for a serious injury to a worker

In the Kostroma region completed the investigation of the case of industrial injury, as a result of which the locksmith lost the ability to move normally. The indictment was approved and the materials against the 43-year-old leader were sent to court.

The tragedy occurred in February 2025 at the road section. The garage boss sent a 54-year-old mechanic-autoelectrician to fix the power generator, not making sure that he passed the safety briefing.

The employee started the equipment without a protective casing. As a result of the departure of a fragment of a cast-iron flywheel, the man received a fragmented fracture of his left leg. Doctors qualified the damage as serious harm to health.

The investigation found the head of the garage guilty of violating labor protection rules. In addition to criminal prosecution under Part 1 of Art. 143 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the prosecutor's office initiated a civil process to recover from the company funds spent on the treatment of the victim, and compensation for moral damage.
