Natalia Polushkina: Elections of deputies to the State Duma are an important event for every citizen

Head of the branch of the Fund “Defenders of the Fatherland” in the Smolensk region Natalia Polushkina spoke about the importance of participation in the elections of deputies of the State Duma of the ninth convocation, which are held throughout the country from 18 to 20 September.

She noted that elections are of great importance for every citizen, since their results affect both the lives of individual families and the future of the whole country. Polushkin called participation in the vote a personal contribution of a person to the common future.

The head of the regional branch of the fund stressed that the opinion about the insignificance of one vote is wrong. According to her, the outcome of the elections consists of the decision of each voter, so it is important for citizens not to remain on the sidelines.

Natalia Polushkina herself voted remotely. She opted for the electronic format because it allowed for on-the-job participation and did not require a trip to the polling station. The head of the branch also noted the speed and convenience of the system.

Votes can be cast on the last election day at one of the 632 polling stations operating from 8:00 to 20:00. Remote electronic voting is also available for citizens who have registered in advance.
