375 lyceums across France have completely or partially shut down their work amid ongoing protests by teenagers. This was reported by radio Franceinfo, citing data from the Ministry of Education of the country.

As of the morning of October 8, the activities of 224 lyceums were completely suspended.

At the same time, 151 lyceums were able to partially return to work.

The Ministry reported that the situation has improved: indicators fell by 30% compared to the 7th. By the morning of October 8, almost all lyceums of the country - 94% - had already opened.

Mass protests involving high school students and students are linked to a number of problems in the education system, including overloaded curricula and a shortage of teachers. According to the latest information, more than six thousand people were detained across the country, a significant part of them are minors.

The French prime minister has vowed to revise the education budget over the protests.
