Nikolchan received an updated square “Breeze”

In Nikolsk came to the end of work on the transformation of the square “Breeze”. The public space has changed markedly. On the site near the shopping facility at the crossroads of Lenin and Kirov streets laid fresh asphalt. And on the embankment of the Middle Pond of the Vyrgan River they put a decorative fence. Even earlier, a modern playground, swings, sun loungers, lighting, benches and art objects were equipped here.

The project was carried out within the framework of the federal project “Formation of a comfortable urban environment” of the national project “Infrastructure for Life”. The territory for improvement Nikol residents chose themselves - following the results of the All-Russian online voting in 2025.

Deputy Minister of housing and communal services and civil protection of the population of the Penza region Yevgeny Mikhalev noted that everyone wants a beautiful square, but beauty should not be achieved at the cost of ecology. According to him, “Breeze” can become an example of green improvement for the whole area.

The main goal of the project, he added, is to create a modern public space that will increase the comfort and safety of the urban environment for residents and guests of Nikolsk. Now the square has become a cozy place where it is pleasant to spend time.
