Nizhny Novgorod residents are 30% more likely to use 5G smartphones

In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the number of owners of devices with support for the fifth generation network has increased. Over the past year, the number of such smartphones in the network MegaFon has increased by a third. Modern gadgets are actively acquiring and mastering their functions not only in large cities, but also in remote settlements of the region.

The largest increase in the operator’s analytics was recorded in the Diveyevo district, popular among tourists. The number of owners of 5G smartphones for 12 months increased immediately by 44%. In one of the most remote from the regional center of the Urensk municipal district, the number of such gadgets increased by 31%, and in Nizhny Novgorod for comparison - by 20%.

Most often, modern gadgets are used by Nizhny Novgorod residents from 35 to 44 years old - they account for about 30% of devices with 5G support. A little behind the group from 45 to 54 years with an indicator of 22%, and subscribers from 25 to 34 years concentrated 20% of 5G devices. It is noteworthy that women use the new generation devices 3% more often than men.

Today, the 5G network in the Nizhny Novgorod region is not just a technology of the future, but a reality available right now. In September, we launched the fifth generation network on the main square of Nizhny Novgorod, on the streets of Varvarskaya and Bolshaya Pokrovskaya.
