Nizhny Novgorod will be tried for fraud with matcapital for 450 thousand

In Kamensk-Uralsk, a 55-year-old resident of Nizhny Novgorod and a 45-year-old native of Perm will appear in court. According to the prosecutor's office of the Sverdlovsk region, both are charged with embezzlement of funds provided for by the maternity capital program.

A key point in the proceedings was the article on fraud, which punishes the illegal receipt of significant amounts committed within an organized group.

According to investigators, a woman from the Nizhny Novgorod region, already raising one child, was persuaded to issue fake birth certificates of the second child.

The participant of the process provided the civil registration body with false information about the independent birth of the baby. This version was supported by the statement of a woman from the Perm region. Based on the stated data, a document was issued on the birth of a baby, which in fact was not.

The certificate for maternity capital was registered for a resident of Nizhny Novgorod. After that, documents for the purchase of a land plot and a loan agreement were drawn up, which were allegedly intended for the construction of housing. These papers were provided to the local branch of the Pension Fund, as a result of which the maternity capital funds were used to repay debts and accrued interest.

Losses of the federal budget amounted to more than 450 thousand rubles.

A criminal case has been transferred to the Sinarsky District Court, the indictment on which has already been approved by the Kamensk-Uralsky prosecutor's office. The court will begin to consider the material on the merits.
