From AI to sports tourism: in the Pinsk district after the overhaul opened a center for creativity for children and youth

The grand opening of the center of creativity of children and youth of the Pinsk district took place today, November 6. This event was a wonderful gift for the residents of Pinsk region on the eve of the holiday on November 7.

To share the joy of this long-awaited event gathered students and teachers of the center, local residents, as well as honored guests. Addressing those present during the ceremony, Deputy Chairman of the Pinsk District Executive Committee Dmitry Polkhovsky noted that Belarus pays close attention to the successful development of regions in all areas:

- The state pays great attention to the development of regions, the creation of a comfortable infrastructure in the countryside and the support of our talented youth. Today we see the real result of this large-scale work – a beautiful, modern center of creativity of children and young people. Its overhaul was implemented as part of the implementation of the Comprehensive Program for the Development of Pripyat Polesie Districts for 2025-2030. 2.5 million rubles were allocated for these purposes. I am sure that more than one star will be revealed in these renovated walls, and all the necessary conditions for creation and creativity for the benefit of our native Belarus have been created for children from rural areas.

The 1953 building, which has housed an additional education institution since 1987, has long needed renovation. To solve this issue, the builders worked hard: completely replaced the roof and beams of the ceiling, installed new windows and doors, mounted suspended ceilings. Facades and interior spaces have been transformed - from modern floor coverings to sparkling stainless steel railings on stairs. I have not forgotten about the surrounding area.

Director of the center Alla Levoshko notes that thanks to the repair, the pupils received an excellent opportunity to develop their talents in more comfortable and modern conditions:

- In fact, we have created a completely new educational space, with good conditions for each child to maximize his creative potential. All this is a reliable guarantee of successful socialization of our students in the future.

Today, the Center for Children and Youth Creativity in Pinkovychy is the only institution of additional education in the Pinsk district. This academic year, there are 14 associations of interests for 152 children. In addition, on its basis there are two unique museums - Yakub Kolas and pioneer fame, which annually receive more than four thousand visitors.

- It is a pleasure to work in such updated walls, Anatoly Sergeyuk, a teacher of additional education, who leads a tourist and local history profile, shares his impressions. In our section, there are simply amazing opportunities for children to study. At the highest level, a special room was equipped so that children could hone their skills in sports tourism, new equipment for classes was purchased.

Student Victoria Romashko happily confirms the words of her teacher:

- I have already won several sports tourism competitions. I really like to improve in this field, and the new conditions for training that have created for us are very inspiring for new achievements.

Eighth-grader of the Pinkovic High School Gleb Shulyak visits the Artificial Intelligence circle in the creative center. In the future, the guy plans to connect his life with programming and does not hide his joy from the fact that he can master the basics of promising technologies here, on the spot:

It is great that right in our village, without going to the city, you can study programming and robotics more deeply. I think that the knowledge gained here will help me with further professional choice and in general - in modern life, which is becoming more closely connected with digital technologies.
