New special equipment will accelerate the work of Kostroma road workers

The press service of the regional administration reports that the Kostroma region has purchased a specialized car for the Kostromaavtodor road enterprise. New technique - the mulcher apparatus - is designed for work

clearing of trees and shrubs of roadside strips. The new technique is able to grind wood with a diameter of up to 350 mm, and its grip width is more than two meters. The mulcher machine differs in that it not only removes vegetation, but also at the same time it is crushed by vegetation, so that there is no need for its subsequent transportation and disposal.

Specialists of Kostromavtodor believe that with the new technology, the productivity of road works will increase sharply and the need for large volumes of manual labor will disappear. If now manual cleaning of a 500-meter-long allotment requires from 5 to 10 workers and from one to three days, then it will take only an hour to mechanically clean the same section with a mulcher.

So far, the equipment will be transferred to the Nei branch of Kostromaavtodor for testing in a test mode, and in the future it is planned to be used for work on the Kostroma-Yaroslavl highway.
